Car purchase is an easy process with good deals available if you have a job and proof of income.  What we did find different was the choice of car available and how many Japanese cars were on the market. There is a site

called Trade me www.trademe.co.nz where you can find used and new vehicles and there are also plenty of car dealerships across both Islands.  Autotrader is also in NZ and the website is:   www.autotrader.co.nz

As we are talking about cars it is worth noting if you are thinking of bringing your vehicle with you these are the costs you can expect:

I did a quote in 2024 on www.extremeglobal.co.nz  and for a standard car from London to Auckland, they quoted $4525 plus $981 Insurance = $5505.00 with tax = $8920… just wanting to demonstrate here the costs involved.

Shippers’ costs can start at £1,500, please bear in mind with fees and Charges, taxes etc it would be way more than I would personally want to pay.

On ww.wisemove.co.nz – they clearly state if you have a vehicle $10,000 value then it probably isn’t worth bringing it and you can pick up another quite easily here as there is a good range and choice.
